Title: Child found alive from debris of crashed Yemen airline
--------------------

Beijing - A child was rescued from the site where a Yemen airliner crashed into the Indian Ocean off the Comoros Islands on Tuesday.

Three bodies have also been retrieved, along with debris from the plane.

The Airbus A310 plane, from Yemen's national airline Yemenia Air, crashed in stormy weather as it was approaching Comoros en route from Yemen.

On board were 153 people, including an 11-member crew.

According to reports, the five-year-old boy was pulled from the wreckage of the plane in the Indian Ocean.

The Yemeni Airliner plunged into the Indian Ocean early Tuesday morning while flying from the Yemeni capital of Sana'a to Moroni on the main island of Grand Comore.

Meanwhile, President Jacob Zuma has conveyed condolences to the families of the victims whose lives were lost when the airbus crashed.

The South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation is in constant contact with the French and Comoran authorities to establish whether there may have been South African nationals on board.

"South African families who may have had relatives on board the ill - fated plane are advised to contact the department for possible consular assistance," the department said. - BuaNews-Xinhua
