Compiled by the Government Communication and Information System Date: 07 Feb 2010 Title: Task team to investigate RTMC allegations -------------------- Pretoria - Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele has appointed a task team to look into allegations of mismanagement at the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC). The task team will look into these allegations as well as advise Ndebele and the department on strategies necessary to ensure that the RTMC delivers on its mandate. The Ministry said the task team will report to the minister as well as submit a final report in a month's time. "Minister Ndebele will study the findings and recommendations, with a view to effecting changes where necessary and feasible in the shortest possible timeframe," said the department's acting director general George Mahlalela. "We therefore appeal to any individual or organisation that may have any information that may assist in this investigation into the RTMC to please contact Michelle Phenya on 012-309 3698." - BuaNews |
