Compiled by the Government Communication and Information System Date: 26 Apr 2012 Title: Zuma accepts Motsepe's resignation -------------------- Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has accepted the resignation of Clifford Motsepe as a member of the Board of Directors of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). Zuma accepted Motsepe's resignation -- with effect from 13 April 2012 -- in terms of Section 15(2) of the Broadcasting Act No.4 of 1999. The President expressed appreciation, on behalf of government, for the service Motsepe rendered as a member of the SABC Board of Directors. Motsepe has been appointed as the Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC in Limpopo. "I have no doubt Mr Motsepe will put his talents and wide experience in his new endeavours to build a better South Africa with a brighter future for all our people," said the President. - BuaNews |
